Jay Sekulow – An influential lawyer making an impact on the civil law practices

Jay Sekulow is a famous civil rights attorney in the United States of America. In addition to that he is also the chief counsel for ACLJ (the American Center for Law and Justice), one of the most reputed law firms of the United States. Jay Sekulow is seen making frequent guest appearance on one of the shows by fox News Channel. He has also a host of one of the talk shows which is aired both on television and radio.

Sekulow was born on 10 June, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his graduation from the Mercer University. During his college years, he was an editorial member of the Mercer Law Review.  Post-graduation, "Jay received a Ph. D in American legal history from the Regent University". He started off his career in the office of IRS (Internal Revenue Services) as a tax attorney. It was in the year 1990 that he was appointed as the director for ACLJ for which he currently serves as the Chief Counsel.

Apart from working as a Chief Counsel, Jay is a host of his show called ‘Jay Sekulow Live!’ which is aired regularly on more than 850 stations across the nation. It is also aired on Sirius, XM. The show occasionally features guest stars such as late Chuck Colson and Jackie Mason. Besides radio, Jay also hosts a television program called ACLJ this week, broadcasted on TBN and Daystar on a weekly basis.

As an attorney Sekulow has a strong passion to stand for the rights of people and protecting their religious liberty, to ensure democracy and freedom. He has been fighting of the rights of people for more than twenty five years in the courts, public area and congress. Jay Sekulow has fought 12 cases in the United States' Supreme Court defending the rights of religious groups and organizations and many others.

One of the profiles of Legal Times called him as one of the ninety greatest lawyers in the last thirty years. His achievements have made him secure position amongst top lawyers of the country.
